How does crowdfunding work?

Through our partner SOMA.finance, we have the ability to offer compliant security tokens. These tokens would allow studios to raise funds by selling equity tokens to fans and the community in a Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg. CF) offering.

Unlike platforms like Kickstarter, investors would actually own a piece of the studio in addition to receiving additional benefits, like a copy of that studio's game. Investment in a Reg. CF offering would require "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and possibly other checks, but would not require these investors to be accredited.
