Token Types
What’s the difference between Owner Tokens and License Tokens?
Owner Tokens designate the intellectual property owner for a game/asset. Holding an Owner Token means that the holder receives revenue from the sale of the corresponding game/asset. These are minted upon upload of the game/asset and go into the publisher’s wallet.
License Tokens allow the holder to access and utilize a game/asset in a way specified by the Owner. Holding a License Token does not confer intellectual property ownership, but may enable the holder to trade, resell, or modify the licensed game/asset. For example, purchasing a game on Rensa Games grants the purchaser a Game License Token.
Owner Token and License Token metadata is connected to direct the flow of payments on the platform.
